เห็นข่าวทรงมีพระบรมราชโองการ ให้ประกาศยกเลิกสมณศักดิ์แก่พระสงฆ์ ๔ รูป และการพระราชทานสัญญาบัตรตั้งสมณศักดิ์ ๗๗ รูป รวมทั้งสิ้น ๘๑ รูป ซึ่งเดิมได้มีประกาศพระบรมราชโองการ จำนวน ๒ ฉบับ ลงวันที่ ๒๒ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๘ ในโอกาสพระราชพิธีเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา วันที่ ๒๘ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘
ทั้งนี้ สืบเนื่องจากมีข่าวปรากฏในสื่อมวลชนเกี่ยวกับพฤติกรรมของพระภิกษุและพระราชาคณะบางรูป ซึ่งประพฤติตนไม่เหมาะสมแก่สมณสารูป และมีการกระทำที่ฝ่าฝืนพระธรรมวินัย ส่งผลให้พุทธศาสนิกชนได้รับผลกระทบต่อจิตใจเป็นอย่างยิ่ง
จึงทรงมีพระราชดำริให้ยกเลิกการสถาปนาและการพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์ดังกล่าวทั้งหมด มีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ ๑๔ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๘ เป็นต้นไป
อีกทั้งก็ได้สอบถามไปยังเจ้าอาวาสหลายๆ วัด จึงได้ทราบว่า ในวโรกาส เฉลิมพระชนมพรรษาครบรอบ ๗๒ พรรษา ในปีที่ผ่านมา คณะสงฆ์โดยสำนักพุทธ และมหาเถรสมาคมได้คัดเลือกพระภิกษุผู้มีคุณสมบัติให้เข้ารับพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์ พัดยศ ณ พระที่นั่งอัมรินทรวินิจฉัย พระบรมมหาราชวัง กรุงเทพมหานคร ในวันที่ ๒๘ กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.๒๕๖๗ จำนวน ๗๓ รูป
ถ้าว่ากันตามหลัก โดยไม่มีการเมืองเข้าแทรก ไม่เล่นพรรค เล่นพวก ไม่มีการจัดซื้อจัดจ้าง คณะสงฆ์ฝ่ายปกครอง ซึ่งนับตั้งแต่เจ้าอาวาส เจ้าคณะตำบล เจ้าคณะอำเภอ เจ้าคณะจังหวัด เจ้าคณะภาค เจ้าคณะหน
คือผู้จักทำการคัดเลือกพระภิกษุผู้ทรงศีล ทรงธรรม มีวิชาและจรณะ คือมีความประพฤติที่งดงาม
คุณสมบัติทั่วไปของพระภิกษุที่จะเข้ารับพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์
– มีความรู้ความสามารถในการปกครองคณะสงฆ์ มีความรู้ในพระธรรมวินัย และสามารถเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาได้อย่างเหมาะสม
– มีความประพฤติเรียบร้อยตามพระธรรมวินัย และปฏิบัติตามกฎหมายบ้านเมืองอย่างเคร่งครัด
– ได้รับการเสนอชื่อจากผู้มีอำนาจหน้าที่ เช่น เจ้าคณะผู้ปกครอง หรือหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง
– ได้รับการพิจารณาจากคณะกรรมการที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น มหาเถรสมาคม หรือคณะกรรมการที่ได้รับมอบหมาย
เมื่อได้ตัวพระที่มีคุณสมบัติครบถ้วนแล้ว เจ้าอาวาสจึงส่งชื่อให้เจ้าคณะตำบลตรวจสอบ
เจ้าคณะตำบลตรวจสอบว่าถูกต้องดีแล้ว จึงส่งให้เจ้าคณะอำเภอ
เจ้าคณะอำเภอเช็คดูประวัติทั้งคุณวุฒิ วัยวุฒิ วิทยฐานะเห็นว่าควรแล้ว จึงส่งให้เจ้าคณะจังหวัด
เจ้าคณะจังหวัดพิจารณาเห็นควรดีแล้วจึงส่งให้เจ้าคณะภาคตรวจสอบ
เจ้าคณะภาคตรวจสอบถี่ถ้วนดีแล้ว จึงส่งให้เจ้าคณะหน
เจ้าคณะหนพิจารณาเห็นชอบแล้ว จึงส่งให้เลขามหาเถรสมาคม นั่นก็คือ ผอ.สำนักพุทธ
ผอ.สำนักพุทธ หากไม่เล่นตุกติก ไม่มีโพลรายชื่อตัวเลือกที่เป็นพวกพ้องของตนอยู่ในมือ ก็จักส่งมอบให้กรรมการมหาเถรสมาคมพิจารณาส่งรายชื่อนำขึ้นทูลเกล้าถวายโดยผ่านราชเลขา
ทั้งหมดที่กล่าวมานี้ เป็นกระบวนการปกติ ที่จักมีการพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์
แต่หากระหว่างขั้นตอนพิจารณานับตั้งแต่เจ้าอาวาสจนถึงกรรมการมหาเถรสมาคม มันเกิดผิดปกติ มีการเล่นพรรคเล่นพวก ภิกษุที่จะเข้ารับพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์ มันก็จักถูกปลอมปน บิดเบือน ด้วยพลังอำนาจของอคติที่มีอยู่กับปุถุชน ทุกคนในทุกระดับชั้น ความถูกต้องเที่ยงธรรม มันก็จักถูกกลบเกลื่อนไปด้วยอามิสสินจ้าง สัมพันธภาพ และพวกพ้อง สิ่งที่สังคมจักได้รับมันก็เป็นอย่างที่รู้ที่เห็นๆ กัน
หากรัฐมนตรีประจำสำนักนายก และเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจต้องการให้พระธรรมวินัยนี้บริสุทธิ์ บริบูรณ์ อย่างจริงใจ ก็ควรจักใส่ใจหาคนรับผิดชอบ ว่าใครมันบังอาจเท็จทูลเบื้องสูง เอาชื่ออลัชชีสงฆ์ มาเข้ารับพระราชทานสมณศักดิ์ ในวโรกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา
ถือเป็นการดูหมิ่นพระบรมเดชานุภาพ มันควรจักต้องได้รับโทษทัณฑ์อย่างสาสมต่อการกระทำทุรยศ ผิดพลาดของมัน
ไม่รู้ว่า ผู้มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องจักกล้าทำไหม

How dare you lie to the King?

I saw the news about His Majesty the King’s royal command to cancel the ecclesiastical titles of four monks and the granting of certificates of ecclesiastical titles to 77 monks, for a total of 81 monks. Originally, there were two royal commands dated June 22, 2025, on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s birthday celebration on July 28, 2025.
This originated from the news about the behaviors of some monks and Phra Rachakhana, or monks with high-ranking ecclesiastical titles, who violated the Vinaya (code of monastic rules), which severely affected the minds of Buddhists. Therefore, His Majesty the King canceled all the appointments and granting of ecclesiastical titles, effective from July 14, 2025, onwards.
I asked the abbots of various temples and learned that on His Majesty’s 72nd birthday anniversary last year, the Sangha, represented by the National Office of Buddhism and the Supreme Sangha Council, selected 73 qualified monks to receive royal titles and royal fans at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall, Grand Palace, in Bangkok, on July 28, 2024.
Talking about principles, without any political interference, favoritism, or bribery, the governing Sangha, starting from abbots, Ecclesiastical Commune-Chiefs, Ecclesiastical District Officers, Ecclesiastical Provincial Governors, Ecclesiastical Regional Governors, and the Chief Superintendents of the Ecclesiastical Supra-Regions (Central, North, East, South, and the Dhammayuttika), must select monks of virtues, morality, knowledge, and conducts, in other words, monks of graceful conducts.
General qualifications of monks eligible for ecclesiastical ranks :
– Have knowledge and ability to govern the Sangha, be knowledgeable of the Dharma and the Vinaya, and be able to propagate Buddhism appropriately.
– Have good conduct according to the Dharma and the Vinaya and strictly comply with the laws of the country.
– Have been nominated by an authorized person, such as the governing Sangha chief or relevant agency.
– Have been considered by relevant committees, such as the Sangha Supreme Council or assigned committees.
After selecting the monks who meet all the qualifications, the abbots then send the names for the review of the Ecclesiastical Commune-Chiefs.
The Ecclesiastical Commune-Chiefs examine and approve, then send them to the Ecclesiastical District Officers.
The Ecclesiastical District Officers check biographies, including qualifications, ages, and academic qualifications, and if deemed appropriate, send them to the Ecclesiastical Provincial Governors.
If the Ecclesiastical Provincial Governors consider them appropriate, then send them for the review of the Ecclesiastical Regional Governors.
The Ecclesiastical Regional Governors examine them thoroughly, then send them to the Chief Superintendents of the Ecclesiastical Supra-Regions.
The Chief Superintendents of the Ecclesiastical Supra-Regions review and approve, then send them to the secretary of the Sangha Supreme Council, who is the National Office of Buddhism’s Director.
If the National Office of Buddhism’s Director does not play tricks or has a poll of candidates who are his people in his hands, he will submit it to the Sangha Supreme Council. The Sangha Supreme Council reviews and submits the list to His Majesty the King via the Royal Secretary. Above is the normal process for granting ecclesiastical titles.
But if, during the process, from abbots to the Sangha Supreme Council, there are irregularities and favoritism, the names of monks to receive royal titles will be disguised and distorted by the bias prevailing among ordinary people at every level. Correctness and justice will be covered with bribes, relationships, and crony, as society has witnessed.
If the Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office and police officers sincerely want the Dharma and Vinaya to be pure and perfect, they should find accountable people who lied to the monarchy and nominated names of evil monks to receive royal titles on His Majesty the King’s birthday anniversary.
It is considered an insult to the royal power and deserves punishment appropriate to its treacherous and wrong actions.
I wonder if people in charge and relevant agencies will dare to do it.
