คนรู้มากจะยากนาน คนรู้น้อยพลอยรำคาญ

โลกและสังคมยุคปัจจุบันในรอบปีที่ผ่านมา โดยเฉพาะในสังคมไทย ล้วนแล้วแต่เกิดกูรู ผู้รู้ ขึ้นมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นความรู้เกี่ยวกับสังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง สิ่งแวดล้อม และการศาสนา
ซึ่งความรู้ที่กูรูทั้งหลายนำออกมาแสดง ล้วนแต่หยิบฉวยเอามาจากอาจารย์กู (กูเกิ้ล) ทั้งนั้น
ซึ่งก็ไม่ต้องลงทุนลงแรงอะไรมาก แค่ใช้นิ้วแตะๆ จิ้มๆ ปัดๆ ไถๆ ก็ได้ความรู้มาแล้ว แล้วก็นำมาพูด มาอวด มาแสดงกันเป็นตุเป็นตะ
ประหนึ่งว่า กูเป็นผู้รู้อย่างแจ่มแจ้ง
ประหนึ่งว่าแค่หยิบโทรศัพท์หรือเปิดคอมพิวเตอร์ก็กลายเป็นศาสดา ผู้รู้ได้แล้ว
แต่หากจะถามว่าไอ้ที่รู้มา แล้วนำมาอวดรู้ คุยโว ข่มท่านอยู่น่ะ เอ็งทำได้หรือยัง โดยเฉพาะความรู้ทางหลักธรรม พระพุทธศาสนา คนพวกนี้ก็จะส่ายหน้าแล้วตอบว่า หึ โนสน โนแคร์ ไม่จำเป็นต้องเสียเวลาลงมือทำ แค่ท่องจำแล้วนำมาพูด มาโพสต์ มาแสดงได้ก็เพียงพอ
หรือเพราะสังคมยุคนี้ เขาต้องการแค่นี้ ผู้คนในสังคมนี้ เขาไม่ต้องการคนรู้จริง แค่จำๆ ตามที่อาจารย์กู (กูเกิ้ล) เขาบอกก็เพียงพอแล้ว พิสูจน์ได้แล้วว่า ข้าเป็นผู้รู้ ไม่เชื่อให้ไปสอบถามจากอาจารย์กู
สังคมจึงมีแต่บัณฑิตกำมะลอ นักปราบกำมะลอ ผู้รู้กำมะลอ เช่นนี้แหละที่คนโบราณเขาเปรียบว่า มนุษย์มะระกอ
คือพวกไส้กลวง ไม่มีแก่นสาร หาประโยชน์ที่แท้จริงไม่ได้ เพราะสิ่งที่ตนพูด ตนสอน มันทำไม่ได้จริง
ช่างตรงกับบทโศลกที่พ่อสอนเอาไว้เมื่อ ๔๐ กว่าปีที่แล้วว่า
รู้จริง ไม่ต้องจำ
ทำได้ มีประโยชน์
รู้ไม่จริง ถึงจำ
ทำไม่ได้ มีแต่โทษ
ฝากไว้ให้คนในสังคมได้คิดพิจารณา
เจริญธรรม

Flattering oneself into knowing better than others will lead to difficulty. One who has little knowledge will not understand.

The world and society, especially Thai society, have seen various gurus of social issues, economy, politics, environment, and religion.
These gurus have not put much effort. They merely use their fingers to search for information from the teacher (Google). After that, these gurus dramatically bragged and showed off.
As if they had mastered these sciences
As if merely picking up cell phones or switching on computers could they become prophets or sages
When asked whether they can do what they have shown off or bragged about, especially knowledge about the Dharma, they would shake their heads and say, “I don’t care. I don’t need to waste time doing anything. Just memorizing them for speaking, posting on social media, and showing off is enough.”
Or does society nowadays only need this? Do people in this society not need knowledgeable people? Do people require only someone who remembers information from Google? They believe doing so would make them knowledgeable. Anybody doubting their knowledge may check with Google.
As such, plenty of fake pundits, fake investigators, and fake know-it-alls are prevailing.
Such people are called “Papaya Men” by people of older generations. They are hollow inside, are non-sensical, and cannot do what they say or teach.
This circumstance perfectly matches the Dharma stanza (Sloka in Sanskrit) I taught over forty years ago.
When one thoroughly understands, one does not have to memorize.
When one can do something, it is beneficial.
Without thorough understanding, even one can remember, but one cannot do it, it is harmful.
I leave this point for people in the society to think about.
