นโยบายทำลายชาติแบบนี้ไม่รู้ว่าผลประโยชน์จะไปตกอยู่กับใคร ?

เด็กๆ ได้เข้ามาสมัครบวชภาคฤดูร้อนกันหลายคน เมื่อเข้าไปอบรมสั่งสอนแล้วทำให้เห็นว่า ความเหลื่อมล้ำ สูงต่ำที่เด็กๆ มีก็คือ การศึกษาและความรู้ ความรับผิดชอบ
เด็กบางคนมีการศึกษาที่ดี (หมายถึงพ่อแม่มีฐานะ) แต่ไม่มีความรู้ ความสามารถในการเอาตัวรอด ไม่รับผิดชอบ ทั้งต่อตนและคนรอบข้าง ก็เพราะพ่อแม่ไม่กวดขัน อ่อนด้อยในการอบรมสั่งสอน เอาแต่ปรนเปรอตามที่ลูกต้องการ
เด็กบางคนไม่ได้โอกาสเข้าถึงการศึกษาที่ดี (หมายถึง พ่อแม่ฐานะไม่ดี) แต่ก็มีความรู้ความสามารถ เอาตัวรอดได้ มีความรับผิดชอบอยู่ในเกณฑ์ พอสอบดูพื้นฐานการดำรงชีวิต ก็พบว่า พ่อแม่ผู้ปกครองกวดขัน เข้มงวด หมั่นอบรมสั่งสอนใช้ทั้งพระเดช พระคุณ จนหล่อหลอมเด็กออกมาเป็นคนมีคุณภาพ แม้จะมีอายุน้อยกว่า แต่ความเพียรพยายาม มุ่งมั่น รับผิดชอบต่อสังคมก็มีไม่น้อยเลย
เด็กบางคนก็ขาดแคลนทั้งพ่อทั้งแม่ ยิ่งไม่ต้องถามว่า การศึกษาจะมีคุณภาพขนาดไหน สิ่งที่น่าประหลาดใจคือ เด็กสามารถดิ้นรนขวนขวายจนเอาตัวรอดได้ ทั้งที่อายุยังน้อย ทั้งที่ปัจจัยรอบด้านมิได้เอื้อที่จะให้มีความรู้ความสามารถได้เลย
เด็กบางคนก็มีชีวิตอยู่ในครอบครัวที่มีฐานะปานกลาง อยู่ในเมืองใหญ่ แต่สิ่งที่เด็กมีเด็กได้ คือ จบ ป.๖ จักเข้า ม.๑ ในปีนี้ ยังอ่านหนังสือไม่ออก
ถามเด็กว่า แล้วหนูสอบเลื่อนชั้นขึ้นมาได้อย่างไร
เด็กตอบว่า ใช้ความจำ
ฟังแล้วหัวจะปวด อ่านหนังสือไม่ได้ แต่ก็สอบได้จนจะขึ้น ม.๑ ปีนี้แล้ว
ถามเด็กว่า ห้องเรียนหนูมีที่อ่านหนังสือไม่ออกแบบนี้มีอีกมากไหม
เด็กตอบว่า มีอีกหลายคน
เลยถามเด็กว่า แล้วครูก็ให้เลื่อนชั้นได้กระนั้นหรือ
เด็กตอบว่า ให้ครับ
เลยทำให้นึกได้ว่า อ๋อ….นโยบายของบางโรงเรียน เขามีนโยบายออกมาบังคับใช้ในโรงเรียนว่า ห้ามมิให้เด็กซ้ำชั้น เพราะผู้อำนวยการของบางโรงเรียนต้องการสร้างผลงาน เลื่อนวิทยฐานะ นั้นก็แสดงว่า ไม่ว่าเด็กจะอ่านหนังสือออกหรือไม่ ทำเลขบวกลบคูณหารได้หรือไม่ ทำคณิต วิทย์ อังกฤษ ได้หรือไม่ ก็ได้เลื่อนชั้น
แล้วเช่นนี้เด็กๆ จะต้องหิ้วกระเป๋าใส่หนังสือไปทำไม พ่อแม่ต้องขวนขวายหาเงินไปซื้อหนังสือ กระเป๋าใส่หนังสือไปทำไม
เพราะไม่ว่าจะมีหนังสือหรือไม่มีหนังสือ อ่านได้หรืออ่านไม่ได้ สุดท้ายเด็กก็เรียนจบอยู่ดี
ยิ่งคิด ยิ่งเขียน แล้วยิ่งสงสาร ประเทศชาติ ไม่อยากคิดเลยว่า หากแต่ละโรงเรียนผลิตเด็กที่จบการศึกษามา แล้วไม่รู้หนังสือกันมากๆ แล้วบ้านเมืองนี้มันจะอยู่กันอย่างไร
หรือนี่เป็นวิธีการคิดของพวกนักการปกครอง ว่าต้องให้คนในประเทศนี้มันโง่เอาไว้ จะได้จูงจมูกได้ง่ายๆ
นี่ยังไม่รวมถึงสนามสอบธรรมของพระพุทธศาสนา ก็ไม่ต่างอะไรกับการเรียนการสอนของเด็กๆ ในโรงเรียน
ที่เรียนที่สอนก็เพื่อให้มีชื่อว่า ได้เรียนได้สอบจบธรรมศึกษามาแล้ว สอบถามพูดคุยกันว่า สติสัมปชัญญะ เอามาใช้กับชีวิตประจำวันได้อย่างไร ?
เด็กตอบว่า เอาไว้ใช้ในเวลาที่หลงลืม
อุต๊ะ…แม่เจ้าโว๊ย
ถามครูพระผู้คุมสอบ ท่านตอบว่า ที่เป็นเช่นนี้ก็เพราะเขามีนโยบายไม่ให้ผู้เรียนสอบตก เพราะมันจะเสียชื่อสนามสอบและสำนักเรียนที่สอน จึงต้องดันๆ ให้มันจบๆ ไป
ไม่เคยคิดเลยว่า แม้แต่สำนักเรียนและสนามสอบธรรม ของพระพุทธศาสนาก็ผลิตมนุษย์มะละกอ ออกมาแข่งกับชาวโลกกับเขาด้วย

Such a destructive policy for the nation, whose benefits?

During the summer, many children applied to become Buddhist novices. After training and teaching them, there is inequality in their education, knowledge, and responsibility.
Some children have a good education (meaning their parents are well-off) but lack knowledge and survival skills, and are not responsible for themselves or those around them. This is because their parents are not strict and weak in teaching; parents indulge their children according to their desires.
Some children do not have the opportunity to access a good education (meaning their parents are not well-off), but they have knowledge and ability. They can survive and take responsibility.
After probing their life skills, their parents are strict and diligent in teaching and training, using power and kindness to mold their children into quality people. Though these children are little, they are hard-working, determined, and responsible towards society.
Some children lack both parents; there is no need to mention how good their education is. Surprisingly, despite their young age and lack of surrounding factors to acquire knowledge and skills, they strive to survive.
Some children live in middle-class families in big cities. Nevertheless, after finishing the sixth grade (Prathom 6) and entering the seventh grade (Mattayom 1) this year, they still cannot read.
I asked a child how he passed the exam to advance to the next grade.
The child replied, “I used memory.”
Hearing that gave me a headache. Despite illiteracy, the child has passed the exam and will be in the Mattayom 1 class this year.
I asked the child, “Are there many more people in your classroom who cannot read?”
The child replied, “There are many.”
So, I asked him, “Then, has the teacher let them advance to the next grade?”
The child replied, “Yes.”
This made me recall that some schools have a policy prohibiting children from repeating a grade because the school directors want accomplishments to advance their academic status. Regardless of whether children can read or do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division or whether they can do mathematics, science, and English, they will advance to the next grade.
Then, why do children need to carry a book bag? Why do parents work hard to earn money for books and book bags?
Whether the children have books or can read, they will graduate anyway.
The more I think and write, the more I feel sorry for the country. I don’t want to think about how this country will survive if schools produce a lot of illiterate students.
Is this the way politicians think? They want people in this country to be stupid so that they can easily lead the people by the nose.
Furthermore, the Buddhist Dhamma examination halls are no different from teaching in schools; the purpose of studying and having examinations is the reputation of having studied and passed the Dhamma studies exams.
I asked a Dhamma student how he applies mindfulness to daily life.
The student answered that he uses mindfulness when he forgets.
Oh my god!
I asked the monk who supervised the exam. He replied that this was because of the policy of not letting students fail the exam. After all, it would damage the reputation of the examination halls and schools. As such, they had to push students to graduate.
I never thought that even Buddhist schools and examination halls would produce “papaya people” or hollow, empty-headed personnel to compete with people in the world.
That is unfortunate!
