อบายมุข คือ เหตุแห่งความฉิบหาย (ตอนที่ ๔)

หลังจากเขียนถึงกรณีรัฐบาลโดยพรรคเพื่อไทยกำลังมีความพยายามตั้งบ่อนการพนัน แล้วมีผู้เห็นต่าง แย้งมาว่า ท่านไม่ถ่างตาดูรอบๆ ตัวเลยหรือว่า แม้รัฐบาลไม่เปิดบ่อน คนไทยก็เดินทางไปเล่นการพนันที่เขมร ลาว พม่า กันอยู่แล้ว ทำไมต้องให้เงินมันรั่วไหลออกไปนอกประเทศเล่า
หากไม่ไปเล่นต่างประเทศคนไทยก็ลักลอบเล่นการพนันกันทุกพื้นที่ ท่านจะว่าอย่างไร ?
รัฐบาลเขาต้องการให้เงินที่ไหลออกนอกประเทศไปเสียให้แก่บ่อนต่างประเทศ มันเข้ามาหมุนเวียนอยู่ภายในประเทศ เศรษฐกิจจะได้ดี ท่านจะมาค้านเพื่อ ?

สถิติอย่างเป็นทางการเกี่ยวกับการพนันในปี ๒๕๖๖ มีคนไทยเล่นการพนัน ๓๔.๕๑ ล้านคน (ยอดนี้รวมผู้ที่ชอบเล่นหวยรัฐบาลเข้าไปด้วย)
หรือรัฐบาลและคุณจะให้บริการแต่เฉพาะคนส่วนน้อยที่เล่นการพนันเท่านั้น โดยไม่คำนึงถึงผลกระทบกับประชาชนส่วนใหญ่เลยงั้นหรือ แล้วคุณจะรู้ไหมว่า ผลกระทบทางด้านสังคม สิ่งแวดล้อม ความมั่นคง ความปลอดภัย และศีลธรรม
คุณบอกว่า คนไทยเล่นการพนันกันทุกพื้นที่ ถามคุณกลับไปว่า มันผิดกฎหมายไหม ? แล้วเจ้าหน้าที่ผู้รับผิดชอบทำอะไรกันอยู่ หรือมีส่วนรู้เห็นเป็นใจไปกับเขาด้วย
เห็นมีข่าวว่า ขนาดเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจชั้นผู้ใหญ่ เข้าไปพัวพันกับคดีพนันออนไลน์ จนถูกไล่ออก แล้วสุจริตชนคนธรรมดาอย่างพวกเราจะอยู่อย่างสุขสันติกันอย่างไร
ที่จริงแล้วหากโลกไม่สวยเกินไป เราท่านทั้งหลายก็ต้องยอมรับกันว่า ปัจจุบันนี้การพนัน อบายมุข เหตุแห่งความฉิบหาย มันได้แพร่ระบาดเข้าไปจนถึงในรั้วโรงเรียนแล้ว ลูกเด็กเล็กแดงต่างหลงเข้าไปติดอยู่ในวงจรอุบาทว์ของความฉิบหายที่มาในรูปแบบหลากหลาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น กัญชา ก็มีขายกันหลากหลายรสชาติ สังคมปัจจุบันมันก็เสื่อมจากจริยธรรม ศีลธรรม อยู่มากล้นแล้ว
ยิ่งรัฐบาลท่านเอาการพนันมายัดเยียดให้ประชาชนอีก เช่นนี้ก็คงจะฉิบหายเร็วขึ้น เวรกรรม เวรกรรม
เมื่อไหร่คนไทยจะมีนักการเมืองที่ทำเพื่อประโยชน์สุขของประชาชนจริงๆ มีบ้างไหม

Vices are the cause of ruin. (Part 4)

After I wrote an article about the Pheu Thai Party government’s attempt to open a casino business, some disagreed and argued, “Why don’t you look around? Even if the government does not legalize casinos and gambling, Thais will travel to gamble in Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar anyway. Why should we let the money leak out of the country?”
If they don’t go abroad to gamble, Thais gamble illegally everywhere anyway. What would you say?
The government wants the money flowing out of the country to foreign gambling dens to circulate within the country instead. Then, the economy will improve. Why do you oppose it?”
My answer to people who disagree: As of January 8, 2025, Thailand had a population of 65,951,210 people.
According to the 2023 official statistics on gambling, 34.51 million Thais gambled (this number includes those who like to purchase government lottery).
Or will the government and you provide services only to a minority of gamblers without considering the impact on the majority population? As such, would you realize its impact on society, the environment, security, safety, and morality?
You said Thais gamble everywhere. Let me ask you: Is it illegal? What are the responsible officials doing? Or are they complicit in it?
Even high-ranking police officers were involved in online gambling cases and were fired. How can ordinary, honest people like us live peacefully and happily?
If we are not too optimistic, we would have to admit that gambling, which is a vice and cause of ruin, has spread to schools. Children are trapped in a vicious cycle of ruin coming in various forms, such as marijuana sold in many flavors. Nowadays, ethics and morality have weakened.
The more the government forces gambling on the people, the faster the country and the people will go to ruins. What a shame.
When will Thais have politicians who work for the benefit of the people? Are there any of them?
