“ครอบครัวรู้สึกสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณขององค์สมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่มีการพระราชอภัยลดโทษนายทักษิณ เหลือ 1 ปี พวกเราสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอย่างหาที่สุดมิได้ เราสำนึกในเรื่องนี้ทุกวัน ขอบคุณทุกท่านที่ส่งกำลังใจ ส่งความห่วงใยให้คุณพ่อ และครอบครัวของเรา
อย่างไรก็ตาม นายทักษิณ ยังเป็นผู้นำในทางจิตวิญญาณในเรื่องของการเมืองที่ผ่านมา ผลงานที่ทำเพื่อบ้านเมือง ท่านยังนึกถึงบ้านเมืองเสมอ และตั้งใจจริงในการหวังจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ทำให้ประชาชนกินดีอยู่ดี
ดิฉัน และครอบครัวเป็นห่วงคุณพ่อ แต่รู้สึกภูมิใจที่คุณพ่อสร้างประวัติศาสตร์มากมายในประเทศ ไม่ว่านโยบายที่มีประโยชน์อย่างมากสำหรับคนในประเทศ อยู่มาวันนี้ เป็นประวัติศาสตร์อีกเรื่องหนึ่งที่มีนายกฯ คนแรก ที่ต้องจำคุก เรื่องนี้อาจค่อนข้างหนักนิดหนึ่ง แต่กำลังใจดี ทั้งคุณพ่อ และครอบครัว
ในส่วนของดิฉัน และพรรคเพื่อไทย ยังมุ่งมั่นทำงานต่อ เพื่อเป็นฝ่ายค้าน ทำงานเพื่อประชาชน ตรวจสอบรัฐบาลต่อไป ส่วนของพรรคเอง ทุกคนมีกำลังใจที่ดี ขอบคุณทุกภาคส่วน ประชาชนทุกคนที่ให้กำลังใจ และคอยอยู่เคียงข้างกันตลอดเวลาที่ผ่านมา ขอบคุณทุกท่านที่มาในวันนี้”
พอเห็นอดีตนายกวัยละอ่อน ออกจากศาลมาให้สัมภาษณ์กรณีนายทักษิณต้องกลับไปติดคุกอีกปีแล้วอดใจมิได้ ที่จักต้องเขียนอธิบายความจริง ให้ท่านทั้งหลายได้เข้าใจ
การที่นายทักษิณกลับไปติดคุก ๑ ปีนี้ แท้จริงแล้วมิได้เป็นการพิพากษาลงโทษของศาลฎีกาแผนกคดีอาญาของผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งทางการเมืองก็หาไม่
เป็นแต่เพียงศาลท่านใช้อำนาจที่ท่านมีหยิบเอาประเด็นพฤติกรรมของนายทักษิณ ที่บังอาจละเมิดพระราชอำนาจขององค์พระเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่ทรงมีพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอภัยโทษให้แก่นายทักษิณ ซึ่งถูกศาลตัดสินลงโทษให้ต้องติดคุก ๘ ปี พระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงมีพระเมตตาคุณพระราชทานลดโทษให้เหลือ ๑ ปี
เช่นนี้การที่ศาลท่านนำเอาข้อเท็จจริงที่เกิดจากพฤติกรรมของนายทักษิณและพวก ทำเล่ห์เพทุบาย ไม่ยอมติดคุกแม้แต่วันเดียว มาพิจารณาไต่สวนจนกลายเป็นคดี
นั้นก็เท่ากับนายทักษิณกำลังบังอาจแสดงพฤติกรรมไม่ยอมรับในพระราชอำนาจขององค์พระประมุข แล้วพยายามหลบหลีก บ่ายเบี่ยงไม่ยอมรับในพระราชวินิจฉัยให้ต้องติดคุก ๑ ปี
จนในที่สุด นายทักษิณก็พยายามแสดงพฤติกรรมหลบหนีด้วยการบินไปดูไบ
ต่อมามีผู้หวังดีส่งสัญญาณไปเตือนว่า กำลังหมิ่นพระบรมเดชานุภาพอย่างร้ายแรง อาจจักสร้างความเดือดร้อนให้แก่ครอบครัวและบริวาร
นายทักษิณจึงคิดได้ เลยต้องจำใจยอมกลับมารับโทษ
ขณะเดียวกันก็มีการเคลียร์เส้นทางการเข้าคุกให้สะดวกสบายมากขึ้น ด้วยการส่งสัญญาณให้บริวารไปถอนเรื่อง ถอดถอนพรรคสีน้ำเงินในกรณีฮั้วผลประโยชน์กับพรรคส้ม
ด้วยพฤติกรรมเช่นนี้ของนายทักษิณแล้ว ลูกสาวยังจะมีหน้าเอาเรื่องกลับมารับโทษของนายทักษิณ กลายเป็นการสร้างวีรกรรมอันน่าสรรเสริญได้อีกกระนั้นหรือ

“My family is deeply grateful for His Majesty the King’s royal pardon, which reduced Mr. Thaksin’s sentence to one year. We are deeply grateful for his mercy and are conscious of this every day. Thank you to everyone who has sent encouragement and moral support to my father and our family.
Still, Mr. Thaksin has remained our spiritual leader in politics for his previous contributions to the country. He always thinks about the nation and sincerely wishes to contribute to the well-being of the people.
My family and I are concerned about my father, but we are proud that he has made history for the country, including policies that have greatly benefited the people. Today marks another historic moment, as he becomes the first prime minister to be imprisoned. This may be a difficult situation, but both my father and my family are in good spirits.
I and the Pheu Thai Party remain committed to continuing our work as the opposition, working for the people, and scrutinizing the government. As for the party itself, everyone is in good spirits. Thank you to all sectors and the people who have supported us throughout this time. Thank you all for coming today.”
When I saw the young former prime minister emerge from court to give an interview about Thaksin’s return to prison for another year, I couldn’t help but write and explain the truth to you all.
Thaksin’s return to prison for one year was not actually a conviction by the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions.
It was simply the court using its authority to address Thaksin’s behavior, which audaciously violated His Majesty the King’s gracious royal prerogative in granting him a pardon. He had originally been sentenced to eight years in prison. His Majesty the King graciously commuted this sentence to one year.
The court’s consideration of the facts surrounding Thaksin and his associates’ deceitful behavior—refusing to serve a single day in prison and turning this into a case—amounted to audacious defiance of the King’s royal prerogative. He refused to accept the royal decision to imprison him for one year.
Finally, Thaksin attempted to escape by flying to Dubai.
Later, well-wishers warned that he was committing a serious lèse-majesté offense that could cause distress to his family and entourage.
Thaksin then came to his senses and unwillingly returned to serve his sentence.
Meanwhile, he cleared the way for his prison term by signaling his entourage to withdraw their request to impeach the Blue Party for collusion with the Orange Party.
With this kind of behavior, would his daughter still have the nerve to bring up his return to serve his sentence as a commendable act?
