เราท่านทั้งหลายได้เดินทางมาถึงกาลแห่งความเสื่อมกันแล้วหรือ (ตอนที่ ๑๒)

คุณพระแว่นท่านได้ส่งความฝัน ๑๖ ข้อ ของพระเจ้าปเสนทิโกศลมาให้ได้อ่าน อ่านแล้วก็อดไม่ได้ที่จะนำมาใคร่ครวญดูว่ามีความฝันใดบ้างที่ตรงกับยุคปัจจุบัน
เราท่านทั้งหลายก็ลองมาตามดูและพิจารณาร่วมกันนะจ๊ะ
ความเดิมตอนที่แล้วจบลงตรงที่ พระบรมศาสดาทรงตรัสเตือนราชาปเสนทิโกศลให้ทรงทราบว่า หากมหาบพิตรทรงสดับคำอธิบายความนัยของพระสุบินนิมิตในข้อที่ ๑๑ เป็นที่เข้าพระทัยกระจ่างแล้ว ขอทรงตรัสเล่าพระสุบินนิมิตในข้อที่ ๑๒ ต่อไปเถิด
ราชาปเสนทิโกศลจึงได้ทูลว่า ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญ หม่อมฉันสุบินนิมิตเห็นน้ำเต้าจมน้ำ ดังนี้จักมีอันตรายต่อชีวิตและราชบัลลังก์ของหม่อมฉันหรือไม่พระเจ้าข้า
พระบรมศาสดาทรงมีพุทธฎีกาตรัสตอบว่า มหาบพิตรพระสุบินนิมิตข้อนี้ของพระองค์หาได้ผลต่อพระชนม์ชีพและราชบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ไม่
แต่จักบังเกิดเหตุขึ้นในกาลข้างหน้า เมื่อโลกถึงเวลาเสื่อมถอยลง ผู้เป็นราชาจักไม่ตั้งอยู่ในศีลธรรม ลุ่มหลง ขลาดเขลา ชมชอบแต่พวกประจบสอพลอ เห็นผู้มีสติปัญญาทรามกลับเป็นบัณฑิต จึงพระราชทานยศถาบรรดาศักดิ์ให้ เห็นผู้เจริญสติปัญญาเป็นผู้ต่ำทราม จึงไม่พระราชทานยศถาบรรดาศักดิ์ให้
เมื่อราชกิจตกอยู่ในมือของผู้มีสติปัญญาทรามเป็นบัณฑิตจอมปลอม ย่อมมิอาจทำการงานให้สำเร็จลุล่วงได้อย่างมั่นคง แม้สำเร็จก็เป็นแต่เปลือกนอกฉาบฉวย ทำแบบขอไปทีลวกๆ
แม้พวกบัณฑิตทั้งหลายจักพยายามแนะนำว่ากล่าว ตักเตือน แต่พวกผู้มีปัญญาทรามก็หาได้ฟังไม่ รวมถึงองค์ราชา จนทำให้บ้านเมืองตกอยู่ในสภาวะสุ่มเสี่ยง และไม่มั่นคง ด้วยเพราะไปหลงเชื่อคนมีปัญญาทราม ดุจดังน้ำเต้าน้อยที่ลอยน้ำไม่มีน้ำหนัก แต่กลับมีน้ำหนักจมน้ำได้
ด้วยเพราะผู้มีอำนาจมีความเห็นผิดเป็นมิจฉาทิฐิ เหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวนี้หาได้เกิดในกาลของพระองค์ไม่ แต่จักเกิดในกาลข้างหน้า
หากมหาบพิตรทรงสดับคำอธิบายความนัยนี้เข้าพระทัยแล้ว ขอทรงตรัสเล่าพระสุบินนิมิตในข้อต่อไปด้วยเถิด

We have arrived at an era of decline. (Part 12)

Khun Phra Waen sent me the sixteen dreams of King Pasenadi Kosala. After reading them, I could not help pondering which dreams were relevant to the present era.
Let us follow and consider together.
The previous episode ended with the Buddha telling King Pasenadi Kosala to tell his twelfth dream.
King Pasenadi Kosala said, “My lord, I dreamt of a gourd sinking in water. Will this be dangerous to my life and my throne?
The Buddha replied, “Your Majesty, your dream will not affect your life or your throne. It will happen in an era of decline. The king will be immoral, infatuated, and ignorant. The king likes flatterers; he mistakes unwise people to be pundits and rewards them with titles and ranks. He views the wise as foolish and thus does not grant them any title or rank.
When royal affairs fall into the hands of unwise and fake scholars, who cannot precisely carry out their duties. Even if it is successful, it is only superficial and done in a perfunctory manner.
Although the wise try to give advice, the fools, including the king, do not listen. Following the unwise put the country in a risky and unstable state. It is similar to a small floating gourd having no weight but weighs enough to sink.
This happens because those in power have wrong views. This incident will not occur during your reign but in the future.
