เราท่านทั้งหลายได้เดินทางมาถึงกาลแห่งความเสื่อมกันแล้ว (ตอนที่ ๖)

คุณพระแว่นท่านได้ส่งความฝัน ๑๖ ข้อ ของพระเจ้าปเสนทิโกศลมาให้ได้อ่าน อ่านแล้วก็อดไม่ได้ที่จะนำมาใคร่ครวญดูว่ามีความฝันใดบ้างที่ตรงกับยุคปัจจุบัน
เราท่านทั้งหลายก็ลองมาตามดูและพิจารณาร่วมกันนะจ๊ะ
เมื่อองค์พระบรมศาสดาทรงตรัสอธิบายพระสุบินนิมิตข้อที่ ๕ ให้แก่องค์ราชาปเสนทิโกศลทรงสดับจนเข้าพระทัยกระจ่างชัดแล้ว จึงทรงมีพุทธบัญชารับสั่งให้ราชาปเสนทิโกศลตรัสเล่าถึงพระสุบินนิมิตในข้อที่ ๖ สืบต่อไป
ราชาปเสนทิโกศล ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญ หม่อมฉันสุบินนิมิตเห็นมหาชนพากันขัดถูถาดทองคำราคาแสนกหาปณะ แล้วพากันนำไปให้สุนัขจิ้งจอกแก่ตัวหนึ่ง พร้อมกล่าวว่า เชิญท่านปัสสาวะใส่ลงในถาดทองใบนี้เถิด
สุนัขจิ้งจอกแก่ตัวนั้นจึงยืนปัสสาวะลงในถาดทองคำอันสุกปลั่งจนเต็ม
ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญสุบินนิมิตข้อนี้จักเป็นหาได้มีอันตรายต่อชีวิตและราชบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ไม่พระพุทธเจ้าข้า
พระบรมศาสดาทรงตรัสอธิบายพระสุบินนิมิตนั้น ความว่า
ดูกรมหาบพิตร ผลของพระสุบินนิมิตนี้หาได้กระทำอันตรายใดๆ แก่ชีวิตและราชบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ในกาลนี้ไม่ แต่เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่จักเกิดในกาลข้างหน้า เมื่อแผ่นดินมีราชาผู้ไม่ตั้งมั่นอยู่ในธรรม พระราชาผู้ขลาดเขลานั้นทรงรังเกียจบุคคลผู้มีสติปัญญา และตระกูลสูง จึงไม่พระราชทานยศศักดิ์ใดๆ ให้ แต่จักทรงประทานยศศักดิ์แก่คนผู้มีตระกูลอันต่ำต้อยไร้สติปัญญา
ส่วนชนผู้เป็นตระกูลใหญ่นับวันจะยิ่งตกต่ำ มีชีวิตอยู่ด้วยความแร้นแค้นทุกข์ยากลำบาก เพื่อความอยู่รอดจึงพากันยกบุตรธิดาให้เป็นทาส แก่คนตระกูลต่ำ แด่ผู้มียศศักดิ์
ดังนี้ดุจดังบุคคลผู้ใช้ถาดทองคำมารองรับปัสสาวะของสุนัขจิ้งจอก
บุคคลผู้เสื่อมจากศีลธรรมย่อมเป็นผู้มีปัญญาทราม ย่อมมิอาจเห็นได้ว่า สิ่งใดมีประโยชน์ หรือมิใช่ประโยชน์
เมื่อมหาบพิตรทรงสดับคำอธิบายเข้าใจกระจ่างแล้ว ขอจงทรงเล่าสุบินนิมิตข้อต่อไปเถิด

We have arrived at an era of decline. (Part 6)

Khun Phra Waen sent me the sixteen dreams of King Pasenadi Kosala. After reading them, I could not help pondering which dreams were relevant to the present era.
Let us learn and consider together.
After explaining the meaning of the King’s fifth dream, the Buddha asked the King to tell him about his sixth dream.
King Pasenadi Kosala: “I dreamt of many people rubbing a gold tray worth a hundred thousand kahāpaṇas (an ancient currency) and giving it to an old fox, saying, please urinate into this golden tray. The old fox urinated into the bright gold tray until it was full.
The Buddha explained the dream as follows:
“Your Majesty, the result of this dream will not harm your life or your throne now. This future event will occur when a king does not firmly believe in the Dharma. The foolish king despises people of high birth and wisdom and will not grant them titles or ranks. Instead, the king grants titles to people of low birth and lack of intelligence.
Then, people of high birth will become increasingly degraded, living in poverty and hardship for their survival. Therefore, they give their children to be slaves to people of low birth but of high rank.
It is like a person who uses a golden tray to catch the urine of a fox.
People lacking morality and intelligence cannot see what is beneficial or not.
