มีคุณสุภาพสตรีท่านหนึ่งเข้ามากับสามี มาเห็นสิ่งที่พุทธะอิสระทำ หลังจากที่เขากับสามีเดินสำรวจนทั่วแล้วถามกลับมาว่า

ท่านตัวคนเดียวทำอะไรตั้งมากมาย เยอะแยะ ทำไปทำไม ทำไปให้ใคร

พุทธะอิสระพอได้ฟังจึงตอบเขาไปว่า ทำเพื่อประโยชน์ของผู้อื่น

ส่วนคำถามที่ถามว่า ทำไปให้ใคร

พุทธะอิสระตอบว่า มิได้ทำให้ใคร ทำให้โลก ให้พระศาสนา ให้แผ่นดิน

คิดแค่นี้ก็มีความสุขแล้ว จึงได้ทำนู้น ทำนี่ไม่หยุดไง

A lady came in with her husband, seeing what Buddha Isara (I) was doing. After she and her husband had walked around, they asked me a question.

You alone have done so many things. Why do you do them? For whom you are doing these?

After Buddha Isara heard that, I answered that I did for the benefits of others.

As for the question for whom I did, Buddha Isara (I) replied that I did not do for anyone, but I did for the world, the religion and the country.

Just thinking about it made me happy. So, I did this and that without stopping.
