ลูกรัก

เจ้าจักสำคัญความนี้เป็นไฉน

ด้วยหลักคิดที่พ่อระลึกอยู่เสมอว่า จิตเป็นนาย กายเป็นบ่าว

มันทำให้กิจที่พ่อทำ คำที่พ่อพูด สูตรที่พ่อคิด ล้วนเต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยกลิ่นไอ พละกำลังแห่งความทุ่มเทที่เกิดจากใจรวมกาย ความมุ่งมั่นหมั่นเพียร จนกลายเป็นความแกล้วกล้า ลุล่วงสำเร็จประโยชน์

สมดังพุทธภาษิตที่พระพุทธองค์ทรงตรัสสอนไว้ว่า

“มโนปุพฺพงฺคมา ธมฺมา มโนเสฏฺฐา มโนมยา”

“ธรรมทั้งหลายมีใจเป็นใหญ่ มีใจเป็นประธาน สำเร็จได้ด้วยใจ”

My beloved children,

Would you understand this?

I have always kept one principle in mind: the mind is the master and the body is the servant.

Whatever I do, I say, and I think is imbued with the essence and strength of dedication arising from the unity of mind and body. Through determined perseverance, this unity ultimately leads to courage and accomplishment.

As reflected in a Buddhist proverb derived from the Buddha’s teaching:

“Manopubbaṅgamā dhammā, manoseṭṭhā manomayā.”

“The mind precedes all things (Dharma); the mind is their chief; everything is accomplished through the mind.”
