ลูกรัก เจ้าจักสำคัญความนี้เป็นไฉน ? (ตอนที่ ๗)

ครานี้นำใบสมัครเป็นสมาชิกของมหาตาปนมหานรก มาให้ท่านทั้งหลายได้พิจารณาดูว่า สนใจจะสมัครเป็นสมาชิกของมหานรกขุมนี้กันบ้างหรือเปล่า
มหาตาปนมหานรก เป็นมหานรกที่เต็มไปด้วยความเร่าร้อน เป็นนรกขุมที่ 7 อยู่ต่ำกว่าตาปนมหานรก มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าตาปนมหานรก
สัตว์ผู้มีลาภที่จักได้มาเกิดในมหาตาปนมหานรกนี้ จักต้องชมชอบเที่ยว เฮฮาปาร์ตี้ เที่ยวกลางคืน มัวเมาในอบายมุขสารพัดชนิด จึงจะได้มีที่อยู่ที่ลึกและกว้างขวาง ใหญ่โต โอ่งอ่า มีกำแพงเหล็กเป็นไฟล้อมรอบ ภายในกำแพงที่กว้างขวางใหญ่โตนั้นจักมีภูเขาเหล็กลุกเป็นไฟตั้งอยู่เป็นลูกๆ ตามพื้นข้างๆ ภูเขานั้นมีขวากเหล็ก แหลมคม ปักเรียงรายอยู่เหนือพื้นเหล็กแดงซึ่งร้อนแรงด้วยไฟมากมาย
ทั้งยังมีเจ้าหน้าที่นายนิรยบาล คอยให้บริการต้อนรับ ด้วยการถืออาวุธ หอก ดาบ แหลน หลาว ที่ลุกแดงด้วยแสงไฟไล่ทิ่มแทงสัตว์นรก เพื่อบังคับให้ปีนขึ้นไปบนภูเขาไฟอันแดงฉาน
สัตว์นรกเหล่านั้นก็พากันตกใจ วิ่งหนีขึ้นไปบนยอดเขานรก
ต่อมาก็มีลมกรด อันร้อนแรง พัดมาด้วยกำลังแห่งลมนรกทำให้สัตว์นรกพลัดตกมาจากยอดเขาตกลงในทะเลแห่งขวากหนามทิ่มแทงเสียบร่างกายทะลุเลือดแดงฉาน บางตนตกลงมาถูกภูเขาที่มีไฟลุกแดงฉาน บดขยี้กายข้างซ้ายและทะลุข้างขวา จนร่างแหลกละเอียด แต่เพียงชั่วอึดใจร่างกายก็กลับประกอบขึ้นใหม่ นายนิรยบาลจึงตรงเข้ารุกไล่เอาอาวุธนานาชนิดไล่ทิ่มแทงให้ปีนขึ้นไปบนภูเขาที่มีไฟลุกนั้นอีก วนเวียนอยู่ดังนี้จนกว่าจะหมดอายุความเป็นสมาชิก
มหานรกขุมนี้เป็นสถานที่สำหรับพวกที่ชอบ เที่ยวกลางคืน มัวเมาในอบายมุข เป็นนักเลงอบายมุข อันที่พระพุทธเจ้าทรงตรัสสอนว่า เป็นเหตุแห่งความฉิบหายทั้งโลกนี้และโลกหน้า ผู้มีโอกาสได้รับบริการจากมหาตาปนมหานรกขุมนี้จักมีอายุประมาณครึ่งอันตรกัป
(อันตรกัป คือ ระยะเวลาที่อายุมนุษย์ค่อยๆ ลดลงจากอสงไขยปีจนเหลือ 10 ปี จากนั้นจึงค่อยๆ เพิ่มขึ้นไปถึงอสงไขยปีอีกครั้ง ถือเป็นหนึ่งในหน่วยเวลาที่ใช้ในศาสนาพุทธเพื่ออธิบายถึงวัฏจักรการเปลี่ยนแปลงของอายุมนุษย์ และ 64 อันตรกัปจะเท่ากับ 1 อสงไขยกัป)
คาถาที่สามารถป้องกันมหาตาปนมหานรกขุมนี้ได้ คือ เนกขัมมะ การถือบวช การออกบวช และสีลานุสติกรรมฐาน

This time, I have brought you an application for membership in Maha Tapana Hell for your consideration. Who among you is interested in joining?
Maha Tapana Hell is the scorching seventh level of hell, located beneath Tapana Hell and far greater in size.
Those who are blessed to be reborn into Maha Tapana Hell are those who, in their previous lives, delighted in nightlife, lavish parties, and sensual indulgence. For such karma, they are granted a vast and imposing abode, encircled by blazing iron walls. Within these fiery walls stands a mountain of molten iron, its surface lined with razor-sharp iron spikes rising above the glowing crimson ground.
Hell wardens, armed with flaming spears, swords, and lances, relentlessly pierce the condemned and drive them to ascend the fiery mountain. Terrified, the creatures scramble upward. A blazing whirlwind — the wrathful wind of hell — then hurls them into a sea of thorns. Their bodies are impaled, and blood flows freely. Some fall and are crushed beneath the molten mountain, their left sides shattered and their right sides pierced. Yet, after a short while, their bodies reassemble, only to face the torment again. The hell wardens resume their assault, forcing them to climb again, perpetuating this agony until their membership expires.
This infernal realm serves as a haven for those who delight in nightlife, indulgence, and vices. The Buddha taught that such vices lead to ruin — both in this world and the next. Beings consigned to Maha Tapana Hell endure a lifespan of approximately half an Antarakappa.
(Antarakappa refers to a vast cosmic cycle during which the human lifespan gradually decreases from an incalculable number of years to just ten, and then increases again to an immeasurable span. Sixty-four Antarakappa make up one Asankhyeyya — an incalculable eon.)
The mantras that can protect one from rebirth in Maha Tapana Hell are renunciation, ordination, and contemplation on the virtues of morality and precepts.
May you all habitually cultivate mindfulness, embrace renunciation, and uphold the path of moral discipline and meditation.
