เราท่านทั้งหลายได้เดินทางมาถึงกาลแห่งความเสื่อมกันแล้วหรือ (ตอนที่ ๑๔)

คุณพระแว่นท่านได้ส่งความฝัน ๑๖ ข้อ ของพระเจ้าปเสนทิโกศลมาให้ได้อ่าน อ่านแล้วก็อดไม่ได้ที่จะนำมาใคร่ครวญดูว่ามีความฝันใดบ้างที่ตรงกับยุคปัจจุบัน
เราท่านทั้งหลายก็ลองมาตามดูและพิจารณาร่วมกันนะจ๊ะ
ความเดิมตอนที่แล้ว องค์พระบรมศาสดาทรงตรัสอธิบายความนัยของพระสุบินนิมิตที่ราชาปเสนทิโกศลทรงตรัสเล่าจนเป็นที่เข้าพระทัยสว่างกระจ่างแจ้ง จึงทรงตรัสเตือนให้ราชาปเสนทิโกศลทรงเล่าพระสุบินนิมิตในข้อที่ ๑๔ สืบไป
ราชาปเสนทิโกศล ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญ หม่อมฉันสุบินนิมิตเห็นฝูงเขียดตัวเล็กๆ ขนาดดอกมะซาง ฝูงเขียดเหล่านั้นกลับใจกล้ากำเริบไล่กวดงูเห่าตัวใหญ่ที่มีพิษร้าย แล้วรุมกัดงูเห่าตัวนั้นขาดเป็นท่อนๆ ดุจดังมีดคมตัดก้านบัวฉะนั้น ต่อมาฝูงเขียดเหล่านั้นก็ได้รุมกัดกลืนกินงูเห่าใหญ่นั้นจนหมดสิ้น
สุบินนิมิตเช่นนี้จักมีอันตรายใดๆ แก่ชีวิตและราชบัลลังก์ของข้าพระองค์หรือไม่พระพุทธเจ้าข้า
องค์พระบรมศาสดาทรงมีพุทธฎีกาตรัสอธิบายขยายความนัยของพระสุบินนิมิตข้อนี้ความว่า
ดูกรมหาบพิตรพระสุบินนิมิตข้อนี้ของพระองค์หาได้มีอันตรายใดๆ ต่อพระชนม์ชีพและราชบัลลังก์ของพระองค์แต่กาลนี้ไม่ แต่จักมีผลในกาลข้างหน้า เมื่อโลกเสื่อมลงจากศีลธรรม หมู่ชนทั้งหลายจักมีตัณหาแก่กล้า ถวิลหาแต่ในสิ่งที่ปรารถนา โดยไม่แยกถูกแยกผิด ปล่อยตัวปล่อยใจให้ลื่นไหลไปตามอำนาจ กิเลสตัณหา ที่ครอบงำ
ผู้ใหญ่จักตกอยู่ภายใต้อำนาจของผู้น้อย ไม่เว้นแม้แต่ผู้น้อยภายในบ้านเรือน ก็จักมีอำนาจข่มเหงครอบงำผู้ใหญ่ภายในบ้านเรือน
ยุคเสื่อมศีลธรรมนี้ผู้น้อยทั้งหลายจักเหยียบย่ำทำลายสติปัญญาของบรรพบุรุษคนเฒ่าคนแก่ แล้วจักสร้างสิ่งใหม่ๆ ที่ให้ผลและตั้งอยู่ได้ แค่ชั่วข้ามคืนมาข่มเหงรังแกสิ่งที่ดีงามของบรรพบุรุษที่ให้ผลตั้งมั่นมาอย่างยาวนาน
ผู้น้อยจักเหยียบย่ำดูถูกสิ่งที่ผู้ใหญ่ทำ พูด คิด ว่าเป็นสิ่งที่คร่ำคร่า ล้าสมัย แล้วกดไว้ด้วยอำนาจพวกมากที่มีกิเลสตัณหาของตน ดุจดังฝูงเขียดตัวเล็กที่รุมกัดกลืนกินงูเห่าตัวใหญ่ฉะนั้น
หากมหาบพิตรทรงสดับคำอธิบายความนัยของพระสุบินนิมิตข้อนี้จนเข้าพระทัยกระจ่างชัดแล้ว ขอทรงตรัสเล่าสุบินนิมิตในข้อต่อไปด้วยเถิด

We have arrived at an era of decline. (Part 14)

Khun Phra Waen sent me the sixteen dreams of King Pasenadi Kosala. After reading them, I could not help but ponder which dreams were relevant to the present era.
Let us follow and consider together.
In the last episode, the Lord Buddha explained the meaning of King Pasenadi Kosala’s dream until the King understood it clearly. Then, the Buddha told King Pasenadi Kosala to tell his fourteenth dream.
King Pasenadi Kosala: I dreamt of a swarm of small frogs the size of a lotus flower. Those frogs boldly chased a large, venomous cobra, bit it into pieces like a sharp knife cutting a lotus stem, and completely swallowed the large cobra.
Will such a dream cause any danger to my life and my throne?
The Buddha explained the meaning of this dream as follows:
Look, Your Majesty, this dream of yours does not cause any danger to your life or your throne. This dream will occur when the world declines in morality, and people have strong desires and yearn for what they want without distinguishing between right and wrong. The power of defilements and desires will rule people’s actions and minds.
The elders will be under the power of the younger ones; young family members will oppress and dominate the elders.
In this era of moral decline, the younger ones will trample and destroy the wisdom of their ancestors. They will create transient new things to bully the good values of the ancestors that have been yielding for quite a long time.
The younger ones will regard what the elders do, say, and think as old-fashioned and obsolete and suppress the seniors by the power of their desires, like a swarm of small toads biting and swallowing a large cobra.
If Your Majesty has clearly understood the explanation of this dream, please tell me your next dream.
