Looks like Piyabutr starts to know his own and his team’s destiny.

I have read Piyabutr’s unsealed letter submitted to the opposition. His
words have shown his worries and pleas as if the opposition does not
accept the draft constitutional amendments, there will be no exit or survival left for them.
If the opposition accepts the draft constitutional amendments, there will be opportunity to bargain with the number of their people in seeking a way out by claiming to “compromise”.
As a result, the opposition must feel uncomfortable a great deal. If they
vote for the draft constitutional amendments to pass, they may get into jail afterwards. But if they do not help or vote for the draft constitutional
amendments to pass, they may lose friends and people. They are also not even sure that if they support the iLaw’s constitutional amendments, it will really bring about compromise, exit, or survival for several people.
But if they do not support the draft constitutional amendments, it means
pushing Piyabutr and his team to go all out fighting on the roads to win.
Pi, looks like this war will not be easily over.

Unsealed letter to Pheu Thai Party
I am familiar with member of parliaments and keymen of Pheu Thai Party. I had opportunity talk and work with them many times. I understand
circumstances of Thai Rak Thai Party, Palang Prachachon Party that have
become Pheu Thai Party and Thai Raksa Chart Party. On many occasions,
I criticized rulings of courts and independent organizations that were
harmful for Thai Rak Thai, Palang Prachachon, Pheu Thai, Thai Raksa
Chart Parties. So, I feel that I am one of the people who understand Phue
Thai Party the most. However, nowadays, the situation has changed
significantly. Therefore, I would like you to reconsider one more time.
We all know that having a constitution drafting assembly to make
amendments of every chapter and section of constitution, within the
framework of "democratic regime of government with the king as head of state”, can be done with out any allegation of government overthrowing.
Of course, we “democratic side” cannot stay complacent or rest assured. In the end, if some people appeal to independent organizations and the
Constitutional Court, we could possibly be defeated. However, if we are
afraid of this matter, it means traps and snares laid by them since the 2006 coup which had continued to 2014, still works.
Human beings have fears, do not want to take risks, and do not want to
come out of our comfort zone.
But forever fear will not stop them from destroying us.
If we are more fearful, they will do more against us.
If we give in, we will crush us till we have no way to rise again.
Our stepping back will create an eternal wrong standard that Kingdom of
Thailand will never make constitutional amendments according to the rules.
Our stepping back will create an eternal wrong standard that parliament
has no power to amend every chapter and every section of the constitution including Chapter I General Provisions and Chapter II The King.
Our stepping back will “close door” for reforms of every political institution, including the royal institution, in a peaceful way, under parliamentary mechanism.
Our stepping back will permanently close “compromise” that the Kingdom
of Thailand will never become “The Land of Compromise”.
Our stepping back when we have huge number of supporters will make
people hopeless with political institutions. Since parliament cannot do for them, they will do it by themselves. And when people come together,
nothing can stop them. They will become unpredictable and uncontrollable.
Many have analyzed that Future Forward Party in the past and Move
Forward Party today are rivals of Pheu Thai Party. Some said that if Pheu
Thai Party is like this, the more Progressive Movement and Move Forward
Party will be supported. They will be more pleased to see that Pheu Thai
makes decision like this. I think differently. This is not competition between parties. Sooner or later, when election comes, parties will have to compete.
But now, parties should collaborate on the constitutional amendments to
truly remove the time bomb.
There is one more full day left. I am asking senior people and leaders of
Pheu Thai Party to reconsider and accept iLaw’s draft constitutional
amendments which have been proposed by over 100,000 people.
All of this is for peaceful changes of constitution.
All of this is for reforms of political institutions, constitutional organizations, including the royal institutions, to be in line with democratic principles.
All of this is to give hope to people.
